The American Petroleum Institute (API) and America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) have been actively engaged in formally commenting and providing input to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) relative to the Congressionally-requested study to review the potential impacts of hydraulic fracturing on drinking water resources (HF Study). The comments submitted today include work by Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle) to evaluate water resource quality characteristics and variability within the five retrospective case study areas that EPA selected for inclusion in the retrospective case study portion of their HF Study.
